Oceanview Rhythmic in Swakopmund offers three different sections in gymnastics and
dance for children.

1.
Rhythmic gymnastics [ dance with rope, hoop,
ball, clubs and ribbon ] for girls as from the age of three (3) years and in
different sections:
v
Beginning with fun gym
and later competitive sections as from Level 1 to Level 10. These girls take part in competitions here in
Namibia as well as in South Africa. From Level 9 and 10 they can also be selected in the Namibian team
in Junior and Senior sections depending on their age. As members of the Namibian team they can take
part in the Zone VI and also in African Championships. In 2000 Oceanview had
three gymnasts in the Namibian team who went to the African Championships in Tunisia.
In 2002 Tamarin van Rhyn went to Algeria
for the African Championships. Last year the club had three Juniors
in the Namibian team against New Zealand and two juniors in the team to the Zone VI Championships against Zimbabwe
and South Africa.

In the mornings there’s another
section of development at schools. On the picture four Grade 1’s from Atlantic Primary are doing a rope
routine.
- Mini-trampoline for boys and
girls of all ages in different sections from beginners to advanced.
